This is a must read blog post!

Check out this post on PAPERLICIOUS . I was amazed to read this blog post by Joan. This is exactly how I feel on most days. It is nice to know that I am not the only one who has gotten neurotic over this whole paper crafting business. How does something that is suppose to be fun & enjoyable get to this point?

I did all my scrapping stuff about a year ago and sold every bit of it on eBay. Just recently have even had any thought or desire to think about starting to scrap again. I still haven't picked up anything and scrapped it yet, but the desire is starting to come back. Now if I could just get the enjoyment of both stamping and scrapping back.

Here we go again...

I can't believe is has already been 9 days since my last post. I've been busy the last week researching ADHD since our youngest was diagnosed last week. We've pretty much been in denial about him having this condition. I mean we've always know he has an unbelievable amount of energy, but we just kept thinking that as he got older it would get better. He has always been a huge bundle of energy even as a baby. We got him started on medication and boy do I feel like the world's worst parent. I have always said I would never put my kids on medication, but that was of course before we had Matthew. I need to come up with a daily schedule to get him started on and try to find a good psychologist to work with us on his aggression.

I Owe My Mother...

I'm not sure where this originated, but always get a good laugh out of it. I will admit that I have said some of these same things to my own kids too.

1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE . "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

2. My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL. "If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

4. My mother taught me LOGIC " Because I said so, that's why."

5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC . "If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."

6. My mother taught me FORESIGHT "Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an accident."

7. My mother taught me IRONY. "Keep crying, and I'll give you something to cry about."

8. My mother taught me about the science of OSMOSIS. "Shut your mouth and eat your supper."

9. My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM . "Will you look at that dirt on the back of your neck!"

10. My mother taught me about STAMINA. "You'll sit there until all that spinach is gone."

11. My mother taught me about WEATHER. "This room of yours looks as if a tornado went through it."

12. My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY. "If I told you once, I've told you a million times. Don't exaggerate!"

13. My mother taught me the CIRCLE OF LIFE . "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

14. My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION. "Stop acting like your father!"

15. My mother taught me about ENVY. "There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do."

16. My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION. "Just wait until we get home."

17. My mother taught me about RECEIVING . "You are going to get it when you get home!"

18. My mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE. "If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to get stuck that way."

19. My mother taught me ESP. "Put your sweater on; don't you think I know when you are cold?"

20. My mother taught me HUMOR . "When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

21. My mother taught me HOW TO BECOME AN ADULT. "If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

22. My mother taught me GENETICS. "You're just like your father."

23. My mother taught me about my ROOTS. "Shut that door behind you. Do you think you were born in a barn?"

24. My mother taught me WISDOM. "When you get to be my age, you'll understand."

25. And my favorite: My mother taught me about JUSTICE. "One day you'll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you"

Prayers for those in Florida!

I was surprised to wake up this morning & hear about a tornado hitting Florida. For some reason I've never thought about tornadoes this time of year. We've always watched the sky for tornadoes during the spring & summer storms, but I don't ever remember being concerned about them in the fall or winter.
Nighttime tornadoes are the worst because no one is awake to get a warning & no chance to try and get to a safe location. We had a bunch of tornadoes go through middle Tennessee last spring and it was so scary. I was stuck at home listening to the radio talk about the path, knowing that my son's middle school was right in the path. It completely leveled a brick home next door to the school. All I could do was pray for his & the other kids protection. We were blessed that the school was protected. We all need to pray for those in Florida!
