Am I here alone?

I have been keeping this blog for over 2 years now. It is unbelievable that it has been going this long. My first post was March 23, 2005 and I said I didn't know why I was starting this blog and even after 2 years I cannot tell you why I continue with it. I originally started it on a whim I guess. I always wanted to be one of those people who kept a journal year after year of their lives. Something my sons could have when I'm gone and that they could share with their children, but I've never been very good at keeping a written journal. I started many, but never continued for long. I think the closest I've come to keeping a journal are all the letters I have that my husband & I wrote to one another when he was deployed so much in the Navy.

I read so many other blogs and see quite a few who after just a year or less have over 100,000 views. And I have moments where I think it would be so awesomely cool that so many would be interested or care what I have to say or do. I am grateful for the few who have posted comments at least I know that I had something interesting to share. I hope that those who do read will continue to find interesting things on here and that everyone will occasionally comment so that I know I'm not entirely alone.

  4. I also thought you may want to know what I look for in a blog...if you don't want to know, don't read any further! LOL!
I like pictures. It adds colour and interest. I add pictures to my sidebar...not just of stamping stuff.
I like to see lots of art work...samples.
I like to read funny stories...Spaxxgirl cracks me up with her writing style.
    I like tutorials.
    I like blog candy!
If you want to entice visitors, you may want to offer up blog candy! The last time I did that, I got 60 comments on one post!
Also, some blog etiquette I subscribe to...if someone visits my blog, and leaves a comment, I will follow the link to their blog and do the same. If I visit someone repeatedly and they NEVER come to my blog, I stop visiting them, as I feel that is rude.
If I use someone's sketch or idea, I will always link to that person in my post.

  6. Wow, I really like your blog - love the cards (especially your 06/14 post - it's gorgeous!!) And reading your post about the Target cubes was a real time saver for me because I was thinking about buying those and wondered how well they were made. I don't blog yet, but have been thinking about it - it's nice to see everybody's comments, ideas, creations! Great work!

  10. Found your blog for first time today. Your cards look great. Keep at - it can be hard, I know, but keep going. People really do appreciate these blogs, they're just not that good at leaving comments! I have the same feeling when I load a card onto SCS and get 500 view and 6 comments - hmmm.
    Best of luck, Ali
