WOW! I'm really not talking to myself..

I was shocked to see all the comments on my poor pitiful whine yesterday. Thanks Allison for sharing a link to my blog! Everyone kept saying they found me through Allison's blog so I had to go investigate. I will definitely be checking out every one's blogs. Can't believe how much I enjoy blog reading. Thanks everyone and y'all come back ya hear!

Don't know what got into me when I posted that. Guess I was just feeling a little left out after doing my regular blog hopping. I should of had some cheese & crackers with that whine?! Promise to not go there again. I hope everyone enjoyed what's here so far and please feel free to make suggestions for changes.

Still plugging away at trying to organize my craft corner. Our youngest starts his allergy shots tomorrow and when we get back from that I have to start sorting & organizing my pattern paper and cardstock. Yuck! There is so much of it that I really don't know where to start with it. I really need to stop being a paper ho (I mean hoarder)! I'll have to take a picture of the before so everyone can see just how bad I have it.

  1. You asked about my blog header and background.
i hired nicole Seitler to design it. Her prices are very reasonable! I love what she did for me! You can find her on my blog, a link that says Blog besigned by Nicole Seitler, right at the top.

  2. Allison has some secret way of finding all the cool stuff on the blogs. Can you add a feed for those of us who like to get blog updates by email? I use feedburner but feedblitz is good too.

I am tearing up my house and am shocked at how much crap I have juset in the crafting area alone. I took my son's bedroom over when he moved out but never really organized it-i just went fishing for what I wanted in there. Hubby got his tool room done by me last summer, I am doing something for me this time (and feeling guilty spending the omoeny to do it too)

  3. Hi there! I also found your blog through Allison! I don't know how she does it but that girl stays on the ball...lucky for me:) I just checked out your blog and added it to my favorites:)Enjoy your day!

  4. Oh my gosh, I know what you mean about the organizing! We just moved and even with more room, I just don't know how I want it all put away, ya know? I want to create but it's such a mess! :)

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog. DH actually seems to think that his employees saved the pictures from when he turned 40, and then 30 before that! His aunt used to work with him and he always thought she provided his employees with his old pictures - I must confess - he's wrong :)

  6. I know what you mean about organizing,,,,My dining room where I do my stamping is an absolute mess. My project for today is to clean it. I need to keep it clean to because MIL is coming on sunday for a month

  7. Glad you are feeling better you have a great blog, I have added it to my Google Reader, that is so great, just put in everyone's web address and it tells me when there is something new on your blog.
Allison is great she seems to have everyone out here is BLogspace organized.

Guess who is Sewing...

Look what I made!!! I have not done anything creative in a very long time. Don't ask me what made me decide to give sewing a go again because I have no idea. The pattern for this bag is from Alicia Paulson and is called Jane Market Bag, you can find it on her website for only $6. It was so easy to follow the instructions. I would definitely recommend that you have a larger cutting surface and ruler to make it easier to cut the pieces out. My little 12x12 cutting surface and 6x13 clear ruler made cutting the pieces slightly difficult but not impossible.

Don't you just love the red fabric! I purchased the fabric at JoAnn Fabrics a couple of years ago to make an apron and since I had some left over thought I would use it for my first bag. The pattern calls for the use of 4 different fabrics but I decided to just use the 3. The inside of the bag is lined with the same black and white check fabric I used on the handles. These are so cute & are a great size so I will definitely …

Life On An Even Keel...

On An Even Keel is an idiom that means - calm and not likely to change suddenly, balanced. This is how I want my life to be. It use to be this way 15 years ago and I'm not sure exactly what happened to change that position. Everything about my life feels completely out of balance & so crazy and I cannot take it any more! Some way, some how we have got to turn things back around and get on an even keel again!!!

My plan for 2011 is to find that balanced and calm life again. I am working on cleaning out and getting rid of stuff. Only keeping what means something to us. I want to get started working on decorating our house and turning it into a HOME and not just a house. And I want to get our finances in a better place. As always I am open to any suggestions anyone may have to assist in this change.
