Penny Black Bunny Color Throwdown

This is done using the colors from this weeks Color Throwdown . It is also the first time this stamp has seen ink. I've had it so long I don't even remember when I bought it but it's been at least more than a year ago. That is so sad to say! The card layout comes from one of Beate's weekend sketches. I just love all Basic Grey paper and this is out of a pad I received from my secret sister at The Stamp Shack. The next time I will pop dot the saying after I stuck it down with my adhesive I couldn't change it.

Supplies: Paper-SU, Basic Grey; Stamps- Penny Black Pansy Bunny, Wisecracks; Misc-brads, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol

Happy Bird-day!!! - Mojo Monday #48

This was my first try at a Mojo Monday challenge. It went together quickly since I already had the image colored and just laying around. I've been looking for different challenges to get me back into regularly creating things again.

Supplies
Paper: SU, Bazzill, DWDC
Stamp: SU
Misc: Ribbon-Unknown, Nestabilities circle dies, corner rounder punch, Prismacolor pencils & Gamsol.

Sweetest Teddy!

Isn't this the sweetest teddy bear image you have ever seen. I received this image in a virtual swap I participated in at The Stamp Shack. This is what I came up with for my card. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils & Gamsol. I got the colors from the Color Throwdown challenge and the layout from Beate's weekend sketch challenge. This was sketch #3.

Supplies - Stamp: Unknown; Paper: SU; Misc: Ribbon-unknown

Blogger's Challenge 57 - Christmas in July

OK I missed last week's challenge due to trying to play catch up with my MT studies and then our oldest having surgery. So here is this week's challenge - Christmas in July. I received this image in an image swap I participated in recently, but I do also have this stamp in my collection. I just love good Santa images. For some reason they are hard to find a lot of them look kind of deranged for some reason but I just love this one.

I colored him in with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. Supplies: Paper-Bazzill & SU cardstock, Basic Grey pp; Stamp-Jolly Santa by Stamps Happen; Misc-Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, and a little jingle bell.

The colors look so much better in person than in this photo. I really need to get a new camera. I have one picked out but I just can't bring myself to spend the money for it. I have been saving my money for about a year now for a nice dslr camera and DH told me that when I finished 1/2 of my MT course with a passing grade he woul…

Lots of Reading Going on Around Here

I have been on a real reading jag lately. I have finished reading Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series books 4-8. I can't tell you just how much I am enjoying these books. Every woman wants to know a Morelli or a Ranger. I'm sure I'm at the end of the book train reading this series, but if like me you have not tried this series you have to read them. You will not be sorry!

Blogger Challenge #55-Bugs & Insects

I realized when doing this weeks challenge that I do not own a lot of bug & insect stamps. Not sure why that is since I always see so many cute cards using different ones. This is one of those cards that is done but I'm not really sure that I am all that thrilled with how it turned out.

Supplies: Stamps-PaperTrey; Paper-SU, My Mind's Eye; Embellishments-Doodlebug Crushed Velvet brad, Unknown ribbon.

I'll try to post more soon. I have been trying to catch up with my MT course studying after not doing much for 2 weeks. I haven't gotten much of anything else done. Hopefully I can get back on track quickly so I can start doing more fun things soon.

Blogger's Challenge #54 - Color Blocking

Here is my card for this weeks challenge. I had this image all stamped and colored and laying on my desk for several months now. I just could not figure out what to do with it. I decided that it was going on this challenge one way or the other so I didn't have to keep looking at it. Then all I had to do was figure out how to make the color blocks fit around the image.

Supplies: Stamps-TAC, Amuse; Ink-Versafine, Distress, SU; Paper-Bazzill, SU, Basic Grey (Blush); Embellishments-Prima flowers, Making Memories Brad; Misc-Prismacolor Pencils.

The card really does look much better than the camera shows. I could not get a good photo that showed the true colors.

More Reading...

I finished reading the book Twilight last week and then started on this one. New Moon is the second book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I finished this one in 3 days. I know that this series was written for teenagers in mind but I think this is like Harry Potter and something that any age can enjoy. I found myself not wanting neither book to end. I have to go get the third book and read it before the fourth one comes out next month.
